StrikeIron Inc., which runs the StrikeIron Web Services Marketplace, announced that it has partnered with NetSuite to deliver on-demand Web services as a value add to their inaugural NetFlex Applications Program. The NetFlex Application platform goes beyond other on-demand development environments by being the first to allow third party applications to integrate rich transaction data – orders, inventory, invoices and shipments – with their applications.
“We are very proud to be a NetFlex Application Program partner to bring real-time, on-demand data integrity to NetSuite Customers,” said Bob Brauer (pictured), president and CEO of StrikeIron. “Multiple Web services combined with our pay-as-you-go model allows for greater flexibility, better cost efficiencies and access to real-time data without the problems of traditional database problems/issues such as updating, exporting and importing data.”
Because NetSuite is the “system of record” spanning ERP, Ecommerce and CRM, the range of applications built using its NetFlex environment is far more powerful than applications built on stand-alone, point-product applications. NetSuite’s order management, inventory management, shipping management, and payroll and financial data can now be accessed for new Web services-based applications. By adding Web services such as email and address verification, geocoding or credit card validation companies can perform real-time data verification. In addition, data enhancement eliminates the cost and headache of importing and exporting customer data in and out of their CRM system.
StrikeIron Web Services Marketplace provides a complete self-publishing capability for providers and a consistent and simplified authentication, subscription, and management capability for users. This is an ideal solution for integration of live data directly into real-time business processes to increase productivity and lower costs. Web services can be used to implement live data feeds and eliminate the time consuming, costly and error prone methods of bulk data importing, exporting and cleanup resulting in greater productivity at a lower cost.
StrikeIron’s OnDemand for Excel add-in also enables drag and drop integration of NetSuite’s Web Services API into Excel for a live look into the NetSuite system via a spreadsheet. If desired, NetSuite’s Web services can be combined with StrikeIron’s Marketplace Web Services within a spreadsheet to create an extended, real-time view of NetSuite data combined with external data sources.
“NetSuite helps a company manage its core back-office/ front-office processes. The NetFlex Application Program allows third parties to leverage this ‘system of record’ to extend NetSuite into a host of important applications,” said Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite. “StrikeIron’s Excel tool will allow customers to interact with NetSuite data using a live spreadsheet. Combined with other data services from the marketplace, this is a powerful tool for our customers.”
